Skills & career connections

The reviewed Lagos Life client defines nine skills, with growth capped at level 10. Career associations below include both advancement skills and recorded entry prerequisites; those are different roles.

The skill reference

The nine skills are Cooking, Charisma, Fitness, Coding, Music, Hustle, Dance, Comedy and Photography. An empty career association means no direct connection was found in this career snapshot, not that the skill has no gameplay value.

A skill may support several careers. Building Charisma, for instance, relates to more than one job, while the same career can depend on Coding for entry and Charisma for advancement. Read both fields before choosing where to spend your training time.

Entry requirements

The client checks entry requirements using the integer portion of your current skill value. A value below level three does not satisfy a level-three gate even if a progress bar is nearly full.

When a career accepts two alternative skills, either one can meet its gate. The Job Finder applies that rule. It does not require both Fitness and Coding for Oil & Gas, and it does not assume missing skill information means a requirement has been met.

Skill levels and promotion

Promotion depends on more than acquiring a skill. The reviewed work logic checks for performance of at least 100 when a shift ends before moving to a new career level. Ordinary career definitions use advancement thresholds of 1, 3, 5 and 7; the reviewed careers with an explicit promotion list use 4, 5, 7 and 9.

Those thresholds describe skills needed at successive promotions. They do not tell you how many shifts promotion will take, because needs, work choices and other modifiers can affect progression.

Home training activities

These nine activities give you one reviewed training route per skill. They all use equipment at home. Owning an item is not enough if it has not been placed or your character cannot reach it. The listed purchase price is relevant only if you need to acquire that item; existing or starting equipment should not be charged again in your budget.

Cooking consumes pantry ingredients, and filming a comedy skit needs power. A listed zero action fee covers the action charge alone. Ingredient prices, electricity and the cost of meeting your character's needs are separate and are not estimated here.

The duration column comes from action definitions in game minutes. Equipment modifiers, interruptions and account state can affect the actual result. For example, the cooking row uses the Kerosene Stove route; it should not be read as a measured duration for every cooker. We do not derive skill points per real hour or a fastest-training claim from these values.
