Compare careers

0 of 3 selected

Choose two or three careers for a side-by-side comparison. Selections stay when you change filters. A maximum of three can be selected.

Checks recorded entry skills and your chosen city filter only. City access, health, account state and live rules can still prevent a shift. Advanced pay is a progression target.

Each skill starts at zero in the form. Replace those values with your actual levels from the game. Blank or invalid values are treated as unknown, not as evidence that you meet a requirement.

The preferred skill filter refers to a career's progression skill. It does not replace the entry gate. Product Management can match a Charisma preference while still requiring Coding to enter.

Choose a city to limit the shortlist to recorded work locations. This checks the career's location, not whether your character has unlocked travel or can currently reach it. Use “Entry skills not yet met” to find training targets, or show all reviewed entry roles to compare both groups.

Understand the matching rule

A role with no recorded skill prerequisite passes the skill check. A role with a gate requires the integer portion of the relevant skill to reach its threshold. For an either-or requirement, meeting either named skill is sufficient.

These checks follow the inspected client definitions. They do not inspect your account, university qualifications, current health, travel state or other server-side restrictions. A matching result is a useful shortlist, not a statement that every action will currently succeed.

Unmet roles show each skill gap. If Oil & Gas lists Fitness or Coding, either route can satisfy the gate: the gaps are alternatives, not two requirements to add together. Invalid form values pause the results until you provide whole skill levels from zero through ten.

Compare results fairly

Results are sorted by base pay at the first career level, with a stable order when wages are equal. This avoids mixing an entry role with a promotion target. See the career database when you want to inspect later levels.

The start-time preference uses listed game schedule times. It is not a real-world availability planner. Hourly earnings and fastest-promotion scores are omitted because the reviewed evidence does not support those comparisons.

Select two or three career cards for a side-by-side table of city, entry pay, top-level target pay, entry skills, progression skill and listed start. Selections remain in the comparison when filters change; remove a column before adding a fourth career. Top-level pay is labeled as a future target and is never used to rank the entry cards.

The budget link carries the selected entry career into the salary calculator. You can then change its role level for a separate future scenario. The link contains only a public career ID and role index; your entered skills are not included.

No matches and next steps

If there are no matches, clear a city, preferred skill or schedule filter before changing the skills you entered. Inflating a skill value only makes the result less useful. The skills reference can help identify a practical training direction.

Use the career comparison guide to understand tradeoffs, then the salary calculator to estimate completed-shift income and your own costs.

Sources and privacy

The tool uses the same reviewed data as the database. Calculations happen locally in your browser. Your form values are not sent to the official game, and you do not need to share account credentials.
